Photoscapes by Jess

I am drawn to contradictions in the urban landscape such as morning light promising a new day juxtaposed against pealing, rusting, dirty, crumbling forms of aging cities. I see texture, form, traces of objects, layers of paint, mold, and plants taking hold inside cracks that are all manifestations of action, intention, care, and neglect of people. My photographs capture a fleeting moment and invite viewers to find beauty in creation, decay and reclamation.
